On Sunday 5th July, the Bury St Edmunds monthly Makers Market returns!

Join over 80 stallholders and browse the unique, handmade stock the have on offer! With the summer in full swing, now is the perfect time to visit the market and enjoy some outdoor shopping!

Plus, we have a large selection of hot food on offer, as well as iced drinks and fresh juice to keep you cool as you enjoy!

Keeping us entertained on Suffolk Day will be Station 366!

They are a singing group who love performing American Swing numbers from the 1940s.

Catch them on stage from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Plus check out our entertainment programme to find out about all our other local Suffolk based acts who will be performing throughout the day!

👋 Come and say hello to the RWSfm 103.3 team at the Abbey Gardens this Sunday! We'll be broadcasting live from Suffolk Day and chatting to some of the incredible performers on air, whilst hosting the stage and arena too. What's not to love?

Suffolk Day will have a touch of America joining us and bringing something for the dads to enjoy on Father's Day!

Suffolk based car club, V8 Hotrods, will be coming along and showcasing some of the cars in their group. Plus, they will be promoting their very own annual show which takes place here in Suffolk!

Come along and take a look around, chat to the car owners, and grab a few pictures!

Anglo Saxon group, Sūðfolc Gesíþas, are coming to Suffolk Day.

Join us on a journey back over 1,000 years as we explore the lives of the people of Suffolk during the Viking Age and late Anglo-Saxon period. From the fields and workshops of ordinary folk to the great halls of nobles and kings, they strive to bring Suffolk’s rich history to life through authentic living history, craftsmanship, and historical interpretation.

Visit the Abbey Gardens on Sunday 21st June for Suffolk Day, and take a look at these lovely scarecrows!

The scarecrows were made by The Crafty Foxes with local community groups within the town and each scarecrow made has a significant link to Suffolk. They have been made to celebrate Suffolk Day and our agricultural success. They will remain in Abbey gardens to visitors to enjoy for a month and then will be placed within various allotments within the town. The project was funded by the Town Council with contributions, monetary or in kind, from local businesses too. Greene King, Bury Abbey Rotary, British sugar, The Bury Society, Wickes, Theatre Royal and West Suffolk Council.

Bring the kids down and take part in a FREE craft workshop where children are invited to make their own paper scarecrow!
