You'll be horrified to know that millions of costumes are discarded every year.
Use this guide to help keep them out of the bin.

Own it? Wear it again: Don’t forget, you can always reuse last year’s costume.
Share the fun: Swap or borrow costumes from friends and family.

Get Creative: Check your wardrobe and use what you already own to create a costume.
Shop second-hand: Check your local charity shop for costumes and accessories.
Think twice: If you need to buy a new costume, purchase something that can be reused, resold or donated.

Autumn is a great time to get outdoors!

Why not try a nature hunt with the kids – you can collect leaves, sticks or conkers for artwork, make a bug hotel in the garden or even create a mini pond to help wildlife through the colder months.

Carve it. Cook it. Eat it. Compost it.

Don't let your Halloween fun end with a pumpkin graveyard! You can recycle your pumpkin in your food waste caddy at home.

If your pumpkin is too large for your caddy, try cutting it into smaller pieces and placing them inside, or leave it whole beside your food waste caddy on your usual collection day. Just make sure to remove any candles or decorations before presenting it.
