This week we're celebrating all of Insole Court's brilliant volunteers! Whether they're welcoming visitors, caring for our gardens, or working behind the scenes; their time, passion and dedication make an enormous difference every single day.

Throughout the week, we'll be introducing you to just a handful of the people whose hard work, generosity and commitment help keep this special place alive. To kick things off, here are a few words from Lloyd, our CEO -

We're delighted to welcome Cardiff's acclaimed VITA String Quartet to Insole Court on as part of the Llandaff Festival.

Formed in 2024 at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, this talented ensemble of postgraduate musicians brings together exceptional artistry, energy and passion for chamber music.

A first glimpse of our new pop-up Violet Lilly Insole exhibition 🌿

This Friday 23 May, discover the story of one of Insole Court's most distinctive residents. Through photographs, archive records and dedicated research, the exhibition reveals the life behind the name – from Violet's love of travel and botany to the strong character for which she became known.

Volunteers Plant Sale • Arwerthiant Planhigion Gwirfoddolwyr 🪴🌿

Come and support our Garden Volunteers and Community Garden at this seasonal plant sale. Featuring a selection of plants grown on site and by local growers, this is a wonderful opportunity to add something new to your garden while supporting the ongoing care and development of our green spaces.

Time to start planning, planting, baking and making 💚

This Sunday, Crafty Legs Events brings a vibrant craft market to Insole Court, Cardiff, showcasing a fantastic range of locally made gifts, artisan foods and handmade treats.

Sunday 17 May • 10am to 4pm

From Welsh textiles and hand-poured candles to crochet, pottery, photography and illustration, there is something for every taste. Make a day of it with a mansion tour and a stroll through our wonderful gardens.

This takes place every third Sunday of the month. Please note that stallholders may be subject to last-minute changes. We recommend checking with Crafty Legs Events before making a special journey, in case of cancellations.

Botanical Market at Insole Court 🌿

We’re so excited for the Botanical Market THIS Saturday 16th May (10am–2pm)

This special collaboration between The Potting Shed Café at Insole Court , Viridens and Cardiff Salad Garden places sustainability at its heart, bringing together beautiful plants, seasonal produce and expert growers.

Join us in the Carriage House Hall and browse a wonderful selection of bulbs, plants and fresh produce, perfect for gardeners, growers and anyone welcoming the new season.
