Symudodd Ditta a Lal i'r DU dros 20 mlynedd yn ôl.

Roedden nhw wedi breuddwydio am gael teulu erioed, ac maen nhw wedi gwireddu hynny bellach.

"Dylai pawb ystyried mabwysiadu. Mae e' wir werth e’."

Roedd heriau ar hyd y ffordd, ond ar ôl 18 mis o wneud yn siŵr eu bod yn croesawu eu bachgen bach i gartref diogel, dyma nhw’n cychwyn ar y bennod nesaf.

Ditta and Lal moved to the UK over 20 years ago.

They always had a dream of starting a family and now, they have.

"Everyone needs to consider adoption. It's so worth it."

The journey came with challenges but after 18 months of making sure they were bringing their little boy into a safe home, they started their next chapter.

Pwy yw’r Gwasanaeth Mabwysiadu Cenedlaethol?

Ni yw Gwasanaeth Mabwysiadu Cenedlaethol Cymru.

Ein blaenoriaethau yw gwella gwasanaethau mabwysiadu ledled Cymru er mwyn sicrhau bod pob plentyn sydd angen cael eu mabwysiadu, teuluoedd mabwysiadol ac oedolion mabwysiedig yn derbyn y gwasanaeth sydd ei angen arnynt.

Rydym yn gweithio gyda 5 tîm rhanbarthol ledled Cymru, yn ogystal ag Asiantaethau Mabwysiadu Gwirfoddol.

Mae awdurdodau lleol yn cydweithio o fewn pum partneriaeth ranbarthol i ddarparu ystod o wasanaethau mabwysiadu.

Who is NAS?

We're the National Adoption Service of Wales.

Our priorities are to improve adoption services across Wales to ensure all children who need adoption, adoptive families and adopted adults receive the service they need.

We work with 5 regional teams across Wales, as well as the Voluntary Adoptions Agencies.

Local authorities work together within five regional collaboratives to provide a range of adoption services.

💛 National Adoption Week is coming up

From 19–25 October, we’ll be marking National Adoption Week across Wales.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing new content across our social channels, including films featuring adopters sharing their own experiences, information about adoption in Wales and stories from across the adoption community.

Whether you’re considering adoption, supporting adoptive families or simply want to understand more about adoption today, follow along throughout the week.

Rhwng 19 a 25 Hydref, byddwn yn nodi Wythnos Genedlaethol Mabwysiadu ledled Cymru.

What is Welsh Early Permanence?

Welsh Early Permanence (WEP) is a way of caring for children during care proceedings that can help reduce the number of moves they experience.

With WEP, a child is placed with carers who are approved both as temporary foster carers and prospective adopters.

While decisions are being made about the child’s future, the carers provide day-to-day care, support contact with the birth family and take part in looked after reviews.

If the plan is for the child to return to their birth family, the carers support that transition. If adoption becomes the agreed plan, the child may be able to remain with the same carers while they apply to become their adoptive parents.

WEP isn’t right for every prospective adopter, but your adoption agency can help you explore whether it could be right for you.

Beth yw Sefydlogrwydd Cynnar Cymru?

Mae Sefydlogrwydd Cynnar Cymru (SCC) yn ffordd o ofalu am blant yn ystod y broses ofal er mwyn helpu i leihau sawl gwaith sydd rhaid iddyn nhw symud.

Gyda SCC, caiff plentyn eu lleoli gyda gofalwyr sydd wedi’u cymeradwyo fel gofalwyr maeth dros dro a darpar rieni mabwysiadol.

Tra bod penderfyniadau’n cael eu gwneud ynghylch dyfodol y plentyn, mae’r gofalwyr yn darparu gofal dydd i ddydd, yn cefnogi cyswllt â’r teulu geni, ac yn cymryd rhan mewn adolygiadau gofal.


Os yw’r cynllun yn golygu y bydd y plentyn yn dychwelyd at eu teulu geni, mae’r gofalwyr yn cefnogi’r broses honno. Os taw mabwysiadu, gall y plentyn aros gyda’r un gofalwyr tra byddan nhw’n gwneud cais i ddod yn rhieni mabwysiadol iddyn nhw.

Nid yw SCC yn addas ar gyfer pob darpar riant mabwysiadol, ond gall eich asiantaeth fabwysiadu eich helpu i ystyried a allai fod yn addas i chi.

With National Adoption Week beginning on October 19th, there will also be activities taking place across the country.
