💙 It’s Volunteers’ Week! 💙
At Voices from Care Cymru, our Community Supporter Volunteers help ensure care-experienced young people are heard, valued, and empowered across Wales.

This week, we’re celebrating the people behind the impact 👏

Drive Forward are inviting care-experienced young people across the UK to share their views and help shape new digital and online support services. By completing a short survey, young people can have their voices heard on what they need and want from future digital support. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete, and as a thank you, three participants will each win a £25 gift card. There is also an opportunity to express interest in joining a follow-up focus group to explore this topic further. Please share this opportunity with the young people you support—their feedback is vital in shaping meaningful, accessible services. The deadline to take part is 5 June.

Our Participation Coordinator and her best friend are taking on the inflatable 5K to raise funds for VfCC, and they need your support! They’ll be climbing, sliding, and bouncing their way through the course—all to help make a positive difference. Join a community litter pick at Roath Park, then relax with a picnic to celebrate International Picnic Day together outdoors.

Join us for a fun and rewarding day at Roath Park as we celebrate International Picnic Day by giving back to our local environment and enjoying time together as a community.

The event will begin with a community litter pick, where members of all ages can help clean and care for the park. Equipment such as litter pickers and litter bags will be provided, and no prior experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to make a difference.

After the clean-up, we’ll relax and socialise with a community picnic. Bring along your own food, or share dishes if you’d like, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings with friends, family, and neighbours, we even have a special donation from Greggs for the occassion. There will be a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, with opportunities to meet new people and celebrate the positive impact we’ve made together.

This event is a great way to support the environment, connect with others, and enjoy the outdoors. Everyone is welcome—whether you can join for the litter pick, the picnic, or both.

Let’s work together to keep Roath Park clean, green, and vibrant while celebrating the simple joy of a picnic! 🌿🧺
