Isobel completed her bowel screening kit without a second thought. 💌

She’d taken part in bowel screening before and never had a problem, and when she noticed occasional bleeding, she put it down to something she’d experienced previously.

After completing her latest test, she was contacted for further investigation. 🩺

Isobel's journey included multiple procedures and surgery to remove a large polyp.

Thankfully, it wasn’t cancer, but it was very close. ❤️

Steve and Josh from Bowel Screening Wales joined the Lads & Dads Men’s Mental Well-being CIC group in Bridgend earlier this year and committed to the dip 🌊

Some things can feel daunting before you do them - like plunging into icy water or maybe even doing your bowel screening test. But whether it’s a quick dip in the sea or just a dip of the test stick at home, once it’s done, it’s okay! 💙

Thanks to Lads and Dads for sitting down with us for an honest discussion about health, screening and looking out for each other 🤝
