Personnel from 157 (Welsh) Regiment RLC had the proud privilege of taking part in the Royal Guard to welcome His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla to the Senedd in Cardiff Bay.

Serving alongside personnel from the Royal Navy and the The Royal Welsh, our soldiers stood on parade as part of the ceremonial welcome for the formal opening of the Senedd.

As the only Army Reserve logistics regiment based in Wales, representing the British Army on home ground during such a momentous occasion was an extraordinary honour.

SILVER AT EX CAMBRIAN PATROL 2026!

60 kilometres. 48 hours. One of NATO’s toughest patrol exercises. 💪

Please join us in congratulating the 157 Cambrian Patrol Team supported by 10 QOGLR ( )for securing Silver Medals in this year’s Cambrian Patrol exercise!

The competition saw the team tackle the relentless terrain of Wales and rigorous military checkpoints-from CBRN, C-IED, and battlefield casualty drills to section attacks, river crossings, recce, vehicle recognition, and artillery fire support. This competition pushed our team to the breaking point!

Congratulations to all who took part! A massive team effort from start to finish!

Strength, skill, and teamwork in action 💪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Today members of the Regiment went to the Defence School of Transport to take on EX NORTHERN STRIKE, the RLC’s military skills competition 🏆 — and they didn’t disappoint!

They all showed incredible determination and teamwork, smashing every challenge that came their way 🔥

And a huge congratulations to the Team who brought home a 1st place in the Reserve Team categories — an amazing achievement! 🥇👏
