Warwick Bridge Corn Mill The Corn Mill is on the Heritage at Risk Register, and is Grade II* listed. We supply our flour and bakery products to local retailers, and sell at markets.

Now fully restored with a bakery, the Mill produces traditional stoneground flour and artisan bread and pastries. We mill flour using traditional millstones driven by a waterwheel, in the same way it has been milled here for nearly 200 years. The recent restoration of the mill building and equipment has enabled the business to be restarted by the Warwick Bridge Community Benefit Society. As part of this restoration, a bakery was established on site to produce sourdough breads, pastries and other baked goods. Our products are also available online for Click and Collect from the Mill.

Steel Cut Oats also known as Pinhead,Coarse or Irish oatmeal are made by chopping the groats into 2 or 3 small pieces rather than milling between millstones or crushing between steel rollers.

They give a coarser texture to your porridge and it's said they have a nuttier taste. They do take longer to cook than other porridges and some people do leave them to soak overnight.

We now produce our own pinhead oats and they are available on our market stalls and will shortly be available to order via the online shop.

Please note we do produce a coarsely milled oat meal.

Ok everyone, as promised the result of the biscuits competition.

We made 2,500 biscuits and used 31kg of butter.
There were 2 people who were closest, and I've messaged them asking where they want to collect their biscuits.
A massive thank you to all who took part your response, it was fantastic. All the biscuits are available to buy from many places, Houghton hall garden centre, Wetheral Village Store , Scotby village shop, not forgetting Farm Shop at Eden Yard and of course...Brampton Farm Shop , Eden Stores, Armathwaite, as well as our markets at Brampton and Carlisle Cathedral Farmers' & Makers' Market to name a few.🤭
Watch this space for more competitions!!!!
