Fancy a change? We're looking for an experienced fire and security engineer to join the Kings Group team.

We've got plenty going on, new clients coming on board and more work ahead, so we're looking for someone who knows their stuff and can hit the ground running.

You'll be working across a range of fire and security systems, with a company van, laptop, 20 days' holiday plus bank holidays, and a salary of £38,000–£41,000 depending on experience.

📢 Kings Group Fire & Security Are Hiring

Due to continued growth and new large-scale clients, we're looking for an experienced, multi-skilled fire and security engineer.

This is a role for someone who already has solid experience in the fire and security industry and is confident working across a range of systems.

We’re seeking someone with:
- A proven track record in the fire and security sector
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong technical knowledge across multiple systems
- We work with a wide range of clients, including schools, local councils and the MoD, so professionalism and reliability are essential.

Salary & Benefits:
- £38,000 – £41,000 (depending on experience)
- Company van and laptop
- 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays off
- Training provided where required

Experience Preferred In:

Fire Systems:
- Honeywell SMS (SMS/GENT knowledge advantageous), Morley, Advanced, SmartCell, - Kentec, Nittan EVO1.
- Maintenance experience across systems such as TYCO MX, Ziton and Protec is beneficial.

Security Systems:
Orisec (primary installation), Menvier, Texecom, Euro, Galaxy.

CCTV & Door Entry:
Avigilon, Paxton, Avigilon Unity/ALTA.

Electrical experience and networking knowledge are advantageous but not essential.

One last test before the team wrap up their work at this restaurant and flats in Hungerford.

A full CCTV and security alarm system for our good friends at Current Renewables at their new facility.

The security alarm protects all entry and exit points, with the Orisec system giving the team real-time alerts and control through the mobile app. We've also added a dedicated GSM module, so the alarm can stay connected even if there's an issue with the site's internet connection.

We've also installed a full perimeter CCTV system, giving the site complete coverage along with real-time alerts and access to playback.

A new refurbishment project is underway, with the Kings Group team getting started on a 990m² space that's being transformed into a new hub for personnel to relax, socialise and meet.

The finished space will include a coffee shop and bar, new chaplaincy, golf simulator, pool and table tennis areas, along with new meeting rooms.

We're currently at the site setup and strip-out stage, getting the building ready for the work ahead.

Plenty more to come as the project takes shape!

The team are underway with a gutter replacement project, with around 350 metres of old, rotten metal guttering to replace!

The scaffolding is up, and new gutters, downpipes and finishing details are going in across the building.

We’ll share more photos as the work progresses.

The size of this lorry repair workshop, combined with the harsh working environment, meant traditional point detection wasn't going to be the best option for ongoing maintenance.

So we're stepping in with aspirating detection, installing the Honeywell Xtralis VLI.

The system continuously samples the air, giving early warning of smoke and helping to reduce false alarms - ideal for an environment like this.

When you're protecting a transport company's most important assets, you want to know your fire detection is up to the job.
