Remember to look out for the elderly in this extreme heat.
Here's a few tips!
💨 A fan can help dissipate the humidity
🍶 A jug of juice or water, easily accessible for hydration
Food with a high water content can help too, like Melon 🍈 and satsumas 🍊
If your loved one hasn't tried jelly drops yet, then give that a go, it's an easy way to keep hydration high.
👩An extra visit or phone call, just to check they're not showing signs of heat exhaustion
💦Soaking feet in cool water, dabbing wrists and the back of the neck with a cold flannel.
🍽️Instead of turning the oven on for dinner how about a cold meat salad or sandwich?
