🌳 Fallen Tree on the Village Green

We’re aware of the fallen tree on the Village Green and contractors have been contacted.

Unfortunately, as the tree came down it also damaged the toilet block. The downpipe will be repaired over the coming days.

We don’t yet know when the tree itself will be removed, but we’ll provide an update when we have more information.

Thank you to everyone who got in touch to let us know. 💙

With the weather continuing to be difficult, please take care when you’re out and about and, as always, keep an eye out for your neighbours, particularly anyone who may need a little extra help.

Here are the highlights of the WWPC meeting held on 1st October. The draft minutes are available on the website.

Reminder: Road Closure Stockbridge Road for Essential Gas Main Replacement

From 7am Saturday 10 October, for approximately seven weeks, SGN will be closing Stockbridge Road between the A27 junction and Grosvenor Road to carry out essential gas main replacement works.

These works are necessary to replace ageing gas pipes; they are essential to ensure we can maintain a safe and reliable gas supply for the local community and avoid further disruptive gas leaks in the future.

What this closure means

No through vehicle access will be available in either direction through the closure.
Access to properties, businesses and shops will be maintained from the Grosvenor Road end of the closure.
Pedestrian access will remain available throughout the works.
For safety reasons, cyclists will be asked to dismount when passing through the work area or use the signed alternative route via the canal path
Refuse and recycling collections will continue as normal unless otherwise advised by your service provider.
Bus routes will be on diversion – we’d advise passengers to contact their service provider for the latest updates to service.
