Our next community Carers Café will take place on Thursday 29 October, from 2.30pm – 4pm in the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel at NHS Golden Jubilee 💜

The Carers Café offers a relaxed, informal setting for people caring for someone living with dementia, as well as friends and family. Come along for a cuppa, a chat and peer support with others who understand what it is like to be a carer.

Flu hits hard, and for some, it hits harder. Last winter, nearly 5,000 people were admitted to hospital for flu among those aged 18 and over in Scotland. Getting vaccinated is the best way to help protect yourself and reduce the risk of catching and spreading flu this winter.

Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Director of People and Culture, Laura Smith, got her flu vaccination. She said: "I’m getting mine to help protect myself and the people around me."

If you’re eligible for the flu vaccine you will receive a letter, email or text with appointment details or information on how to book one. You can also book or rearrange an appointment online at the NHS Inform website, or by calling 0800 030 8013.

This week, our Allied Health Professions (AHPs) teams came together to celebrate 25 years of AHPs at NHS Golden Jubilee.

Staff and patients had the opportunity to visit stalls hosted by Occupational Therapy, Radiography, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics, Physiotherapy and our Practice Education Leads, learning more about the vital role they play in supporting patients across diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and recovery.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped make the celebrations a success.
