🎃👻 Halloween Safety Advice 🎃

Halloween can be a worrying time for some of our older and more vulnerable residents, especially those who may find unexpected visitors at the door unsettling. ❤️

West Midlands Police have shared some helpful advice to help everyone feel safe this Halloween:

🚪 Display a “No Trick or Treaters” sign on your door or window if you don’t wish to be disturbed.

❤️ Remember, you do not have to answer the door to unexpected callers.

🪪 If you’re expecting a delivery or a visit from a professional, always ask to see their ID and check who they are.

🔒 Keep your doors locked and make sure any door chains are securely fastened.

👀 Use your door spyhole or video doorbell to check who is outside before opening the door.

Let’s all look out for one another and help make Halloween a happy and safe time for everyone, particularly those who may feel vulnerable. 🧡🎃

💙 A Heartfelt Thank You and Our Sincere Condolences 💙

We would like to say a huge thank you for the very kind donation of £130 to the Dementia Hub, given in loving memory of the late David George L***y. 💐

We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation, which will help us continue supporting people living with dementia, their families and carers within our community. Your kindness means so much to us and will make a real difference to the work we do. 💙

We would also like to send our deepest condolences to David’s family and friends at this very sad time. Our thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved David, and we hope you can take some comfort in knowing that this wonderful gesture will help others in his memory. 🕊️

Thank you once again for thinking of our Dementia Hub and for such a thoughtful and meaningful donation.

For carers, it also provides peace of mind and the opportunity to take a meaningful break, knowing their loved one is supported and cared for.
