What a fantastic day at the Emergency Responders Day at Gosford Forest Park! 👏

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and, in particular, to everyone who called over to our truck, stopped for a chat, asked questions and took the time to say hello. It was brilliant meeting so many members of the local community and having the opportunity to show you a little more about what we do. 💛🖤

We hope you enjoyed getting up close to the equipment, having a look around the vehicle and chatting with our team. It was great to see so much interest in the Coastguard and the work we do to help keep people safe.

A big thank you also to all the other emergency services including members from the Lough Erne Coastguard Team who also attended, volunteers and organisers who made the event possible. 🚑🚒🚓🚁

You can normally continue working in your usual job alongside being a Coastguard Rescue Officer.

Our Coastguard Rescue Teams operate on an on-call/pager system, which means many of our current team members attend call-outs alongside their normal jobs and day-to-day commitments.

It’s a rewarding role, a chance to support your local community, learn new skills and be part of a great team. 🌊🚨
