*** What a Super Silver Sunday! ***
Eighty local residents gathered at the Morgan Centre yesterday for a Silver Sunday celebration featuring scones, singing and plenty of laughter.

Thank you to all the volunteers, councillors and staff that made it happen.

The team continue to work hard on the play area at the Morgan Rec. Now you can dream of adventures in the campervan or the dumper truck but sadly, only one is a permanent feature. This weekend you can check out the building progress, enjoy the other play area, MUGA, track, gym, chess and picnic tables - all in the sunshine!

***THINKING OF BECOMING A COUNCILLOR?***

Elections for Crowthorne Parish Council and Bracknell Forest Council are taking place in May 2027. If you would like to find out more about the work of local Councillors as you are thinking of standing for election, please sign up to the session Bracknell forest Council is running on 10 November.

This event will be a chance for eligible potential candidates to come down and hear from senior staff at Bracknell Forest Council, a Local Government Association approved independent councillor, and four current councillors from Bracknell Forest Council about what being a councillor in the borough is like. This is being done so that those who are interested get a fair idea of what the role entails and prepare anyone who may not have local government experience for the process of being a councillor. It is open to those politically aligned and those who are independent.

The agenda is presented in the invite at the link below and there is an unadvertised potential for in-person attendees to network a little afterwards.

The team have started the play area construction at the Morgan Rec. Still along way to go, but there is a digger to look at this weekend if you come to the Morgan Rec. Why not bring the bikes or scooters and test out the track?
