🚮 Have your say on cleaner streets in Croydon!

Fly-tipping and rubbish continue to be a continuous problem on Pemdevon Road and surrounding streets off London Road.

Residents deserve clean and well-maintained streets, Mayor Jason Perry and his administration need to do more to tackle these ongoing issues.

📝 We want to hear from you! Have you experienced: fly-tipping or poor street cleaning along London Road and the surrounding streets?

Complete our short survey and help us push for cleaner streets across Croydon. 👇

Croydon needs more homes, not more barriers!

🌹 At last Full Council, Croydon Labour challenged Mayor Perry’s proposal to increase building costs which could impede the future of our town centre.

Conservative Executive Mayor’s proposals to change how and what developers are charged (Community Infrastructyre Levy - CIL) when investing in our borough, carry a number of risks👇🏽
❌ Bad for regeneration
❌ Bad for affordable housing
❌ Bad for Westfield
❌ Bad for our Green Belt

Croydon deserves more affordable homes, investment and a thriving town centre - not more obstacles!

Tom and Aba joined the local Broad Green police team tonight, doing a (very soggy!) walkabout around London Road, chatting to local residents and discussing possible solutions to anti-social behaviour concerns raised in the area.

To stay in touch with our local police team, we’d recommend signing up to MetEngage here: https://www.metengage.co.uk/

If there’s anything else we can support you with in the Broad Green area of Croydon, please get in touch!

🚨 London Road Planters Update

Following concerns raised about the condition of the planters on London Road, we've received a response from the Council.

👇 See below for the latest update. We will continue to follow up!

We’re pleased to hear that TfL are introducing *more trips* on the S4 bus route, which serves our ward from Sainsbury’s at Waddon Marsh, Valley Park and Therapia Lane across to the Asda at Beddington, Wallington and Sutton - offering useful connections.

The S4 route is physically restricted to smaller buses with less space, so these extra trips will hopefully go some way to improving local journeys with less overcrowding and better reliability.

Thank you to MyLondon for their work in highlighting this issue. We’ll continue to work with TfL, the council and other partners to improve transport in our area.

TfL will introduce additional S4 journeys during school peak times from November following a local campaign and coverage by MyLondon
