⚖️ Timothy Purcell from Cwmbran has been sentenced to eight years in jail after being convicted of seven sexual offences against a 14-year-old girl. ⚖️

👮‍♀️ DS Sarah Gray, the officer in charge said: “Purcell is a sexual predator who took advantage of a girl three times his junior. He was fully aware of his victim’s age but continued to pursue her for his own sexual gratification. ,

🗨️ “Purcell stole his victim’s childhood. At an age when most 14-year-old girls are focused on school, friendships and discovering who they are, his actions forced her to grow up far too quickly. The trauma he inflicted has had a profound and lasting impact on her life.

“Throughout the investigation and court proceedings, the victim and her family have shown remarkable courage and determination. I hope that Purcell’s conviction and sentence provide them with a sense of justice and help them move forward with their lives.” 💬
