This fascinating one-woman show tells the remarkable story of the courageous women who took to the canals during the Second World War, keeping vital supplies moving while Britain was at war. It promises to be an entertaining, moving and memorable evening.

Due to forecasted high winds and heavy rain, Daventry Town Council have made the decision to cancel Daventry Town Market 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪 (𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿).

The top priority is the safety of their traders and customers!

This year, the event will take place on 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻) to avoid clashing with Remembrance events, as both would otherwise fall on the same weekend. That means we're bringing you a 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 fireworks display, so come along and celebrate Halloween with us!

✨ A HUGE THANK YOU to Daventry Deputy Mayor, Cllr. Karen Tweedale, who represented the town recently at Cynthia Spencer Hospice’s 50th Anniversary Black Tie Gala held at Sywell Aerodrome.

Karen and her husband were delighted to meet Asma Maya Joseph-Hussain, Chief Executive of the Hospice, and to be part of the celebrations marking 50 years of care. The night raised over £50,000 to help the Northants charity continue providing specialist care for local families. 💛
