We had a superb evening. Last night at our annual summer fete and dog show, we are blown away by the support we receive from our community and surrounding areas, we all hope you had some fun and played a few games,

Today marks 22 years since the devastating Boscastle flood of 2004.

What started as a warm summer’s day quickly turned into chaos as torrential rain sent huge volumes of water rushing through the village. Cars were swept into the harbour, homes and businesses were flooded and trees were ripped from the ground.

Despite the destruction, there was an incredible rescue effort. Emergency services, the military, RNLI crews and local people worked together to get everyone to safety. Miraculously, no lives were lost.

Boscastle has long since recovered, but the events of August 16, 2004 remain unforgettable for those who were there.

Delabole have had a busy spell, we have attended many incidents over the last 4 days, covered a lot of miles and worked night and day, huge thanks must go to all the crew members for their hard work, lack of sleep and missing that family time which we will never get back, huge thanks to the crews employers who have been without staff for a couple of days,
We have attended incidents.
Bodmin moor, St breward, Advent, wadebridge,Tintagel, Boscastle, Helland lands end airport, Marshgate, Delabole and many places in between 🚒🚒🚒

👨‍🚒 I had the pleasure to visit Delabole Community Fire Station this week and met the brilliant team who keep North Cornwall safe.

We had a really good chat about the work they do and the challenges they face, and I'll be taking what they raised with me back to Parliament to support Delabole and other fire stations across our constituency.

Thanks for having me (and local Cornwall Councillor David Garrigan), and for everything they do! 🤝
