Today has been a very sad day and deeply disturbing day for our company of 30 plus years. Home Support Services is based on Ascot Drive Derby.
We are a community care provider who look after vulnerable adults in all weathers, day and night. Our care workers turn out without question including Christmas Day. We value every single one of them and recognise that this work is not just a job it’s a devotion. In December 2020 we lost one of our own, Graham. We were all devastated. To honour her memory we placed a Robin Tree and memorial plaque by our entrance. So our team would always have remember Sue and what she meant to us. Sadly on Tuesday 6th January someone chose to show absolute lack of respect and humanity and walked into our car park, threw the memorial plaque to the floor and stole the Memorial tree. This act has cause great distress to our team and Sue’s family who would often visit. It is such a heartbreaking and shameful act. To the person responsible, this says everything about the person you are. Karma has a way of finding a path back to you!
Sue Graham will never be forgotten!
