The Bayeux Tapestry has gone on public display in the UK for the first time since it was created nearly 1,000 years ago.

We at Disley library have a wonderful display from the historical society, which tells the story of this tapestry. The display will be here until the 17th of October, then it will go to High Lane Library.

The tapestry itself was originally embroidered in England but kept for centuries in France, and tells the story of the Norman conquest of England and the Battle of Hastings in 1066.

We are ready for a spooky October! Join us on Thursday 29th of October at 2:15pm for Spooky Stories and Songs 🔮🦇🕸
