Do you rear it, cook it and serve it? We’d love to hear from you!

We’re looking for a hot food van, trailer or BBQ caterer to join our successful Farmers’ Market at Bressingham Hall on Sunday 1 November, 9am–1pm, serving bacon baps, sausage baps, burgers and similar freshly cooked food.

We’d particularly love to welcome a local farmer who rears their own pigs and serves their own meat — a lovely opportunity for visitors to meet the people behind their breakfast!

Our bakery stalls are already covered; this space is specifically for someone cooking and serving hot food on site.

📩 Interested? Email [email protected] with a little about your business, your setup and what you’d like to serve.

We have a slightly unusual problem…

Every month, more people are coming to our Farmers’ Market – but we seem to need more sellers!

So, as we head into autumn, we’d really like to grow the market and find some more brilliant local growers, producers and makers to join us.

Our next market is Sunday 4th October, 9am–1pm, and we continue on the first Sunday of every month throughout the year.

We already have some lovely regular traders, including:

🥖 A baker
🧁 A gluten-free baker
🧀 Goat’s cheese
🌸 A local flower farmer
🍯 Local honey
☕ A coffee truck

So we are particularly interested in hearing from people offering something different.

We’d love to find producers of:

🥩 Local meat, poultry and charcuterie
🌱 Fresh vegetables, fruit and plants
🥗 Vegan and vegetarian foods
🐾 Natural pet food and treats
🧼 Natural soaps, cleaning and household products
🪵 Wooden, willow and other natural crafts
🌿 Dried flowers, herbs, botanical products and wreaths
🍎 Preserves, juices, chutneys and other locally made produce
…and anything else that is genuinely local, natural and land-based.

We would also LOVE to hear from food trucks and hot-food traders who can serve something delicious to eat during the market.

And if anyone happens to make hot puddings, apple crumble or something similarly autumnal, we think you may find a very appreciative audience here! 🍎🥧

🌳 There’s also FREE ENTRY TO BRESSINGHAM GARDENS between 9am and 10.30am with just one purchase from any of our market stallholders.

Entry to the gardens is from the Stretch Tent behind the Barn.

October and November are beautiful months in the gardens, with wonderful autumn colour, and the market carries on right through the year.

And this is Norfolk, so we are realistic about the weather! If it turns unpleasant, we have indoor space available and can bring the market under cover.

Our visitor numbers are growing month by month. Now we’d really like the range of local producers to grow with them.

If you grow it, rear it, cook it, make it or create it locally and naturally, we’d love to hear from you.

Please get in touch if you’d like to join us – and PLEASE share this with any local growers, producers or makers you think should be at Bressingham. 🌿

Pitches are 20 pounds for one date, 35 for 2 date and 45 for 3 date running.

🌿 WE’RE HIRING – FULL-TIME GARDENER 🌿

A full-time position has become available to join the gardening team at Bressingham Gardens.
We are looking for a practical, hard-working and experienced gardener to work under our Garden Manager and alongside our existing gardening team, helping to care for and maintain Bressingham’s extensive established gardens.
This is very much a hands-on gardening role. The work is varied and will include the day-to-day maintenance of beds and borders, planting, weeding, pruning, dividing and maintaining plants, general garden upkeep and the many seasonal jobs involved in looking after a large garden throughout the year.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has previous professional experience working in a garden, horticultural or landscape environment
• Has a good practical understanding of plants and general garden maintenance
• Is comfortable with physical outdoor work in all seasons
• Can work well as part of a small team, but is equally capable of getting on with a job independently
• Takes pride in their work and has an eye for detail
• Is reliable, practical and genuinely enjoys working with plants and gardens
While formal horticultural qualifications are welcome, proven practical experience working in a professional garden or landscape environment is more important to us.
This is a full-time position of 39 hours per week.

If you have experience in professional gardening and would like to become part of the team caring for Bressingham Gardens, we would be very pleased to hear from you.
Please send enquiries, applications and CVs to:
📧 [email protected]
Please feel free to share with anyone you think may be suitable.
