We are a Charity and Voluntary Agency who have been creating loving families since 1946. YAA's friendly team recruit, train and approve adoptive parents from across Yorkshire & Humber, North Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire. We are a Voluntary Agency and charity providing a bespoke service to our families and life long adoption support. Our vision is that children who need an adoptive home will grow up in a safe and loving home, will be happy, healthy and lead fulfilling lives. We work closely with other organisations and local authorities to support family finding for our families and the children waiting. We are a welcoming organisation and our adopters say it’s great that we have a consistent and supportive staff team who always go the extra mile.

Yesterday saw the 3rd annual Black History Month Community Civic Service at Sheffield Cathedral where YAA stood with SACMHA highlighting adoption and support services for Black communities in Sheffield.

We explore how you manage your finances, not how much money you have.

You may have debts, but as long as these are understood and repayments can be managed alongside living expenses then this should not be a problem.

We encourage everyone considering the adoption journey to consider how they will manage financially whilst taking time off work when a child joins your family.

Having good relationships helps them feel comfortable to reach out, anytime for anything they need.
