From Storm to Sunrise: A Journey in Sound
Join the Gig Caritas Orchestra for a powerful and uplifting musical journey, culminating in Sibeliusβ Symphony No. 2 - a work that moves from shadow into blazing light, carrying listeners from uncertainty to triumph in one of the most thrilling finales in all orchestral music.
The programme opens with Beethovenβs dramatic Coriolan Overture, full of tension and intensity, and continues with Bruchβs much-loved Violin Concerto No. 1, performed by Berri Munn, whose warmth and lyricism bring this romantic masterpiece vividly to life.
Under the direction of Keith Horsfall, the orchestra brings together a rich palette of colour and emotion, guiding audiences through music that is at once deeply expressive and powerfully uplifting.
As part of the Classical Chills series, this concert is presented in support of The Mayor of Dudley's Charity Appeal, helping to raise vital funds for local charitable causes and community organisations across the borough.
