Dunstable Independents We are a group of Independent Dunstable Town Councillors. Our aim is to create a better town for all its residents. This page is owned by Cllr John Gurney.

DUNSTABLE SEA CADETS SEEK VOLUNTEERS

This is the request we received.

I am emailing on behalf of Dunstable Sea Cadets, who are looking to recruit new volunteers to their unit.

Sea Cadets uses a nautical theme, based on the customs of the Royal Navy, to teach skills from cookery to engineering, first aid, sailing, rowing, navigation and the art of seamanship, both on land and on the water. They would be lost without the amazing volunteers who deliver these amazing activities to our cadets.

Would you be able to support the unit with advertising these roles with your network and via your socials? Any support you would be able to offer would be much appreciated.

Opening Hours: Monday to Friday: 9 am to 5 pm
Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Daily Bank Schedule (Community Bankers) If you need more complex, face-to-face advice from your specific bank, a private consultation room is available. Representatives will be on-site on these specific days. There is a external ATM available 24/7.

Tuesdays: Barclays
Wednesdays: Lloyds, Halifax, Bank of Scotland
Thursdays: NatWest
Fridays: Santander

Everyday Counter Services (Any Day!) Don't worry if your bank isn't listed above—the main service counter is operated by the Post Office and is open to customers of all major high-street banks and building societies every day the hub is open.

You can pop in anytime Monday to Friday to: Withdraw and deposit cash (notes and coins), pay in cheques and check your bank balances, pay utility bills and top up gas/electricity, access business banking cash services & change-giving .

Dunstable Rep is delighted to be hosting a charity performance of Sheila’s Island on Wednesday 8 July. The evening will raise funds for Mayor Richard Attwell’s chosen charities for the year: Luton and Dunstable Prostate Support Group and Tibbs Dementia Foundation.

To book, go to www.littletheatre.org.uk and select the ticket type “MayorFriends”. £6 from every ticket sold will go to the Mayor’s charity fund.

Can’t make it on the Wednesday? Don’t worry – you can book a "MayorFriends ticket" for any of our performances through the week, with the same charitable donation applied.

ROYAL GARDEN PARTY FOR BECKY WISEBY

Becky Wisbey attended the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace following her nomination for outstanding service to the Dunstable community.

This honour is a testament to the incredible work of the Town Council and would not have been possible without her fantastic team and colleagues.
