It’s Volunteers Week and here at Inveresk Lodge Garden we would like to celebrate the incredible volunteers who help in all sorts of ways to keep the garden looking its best.
Thank you for your time, commitment, dedication and banter 😀!. It truly makes a difference. You are all amazing, and, simply the best! 👏👏👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Today is World Bee Day and a chance to celebrate and raise awareness of the essential role that bees and other pollinators play in maintaining the health of the planet. We, as humans, depend on pollinators for our survival as they play a vital role in agriculture and food production. However, threats such as the indiscriminate use of pesticides and climate change are impacting the number and variety of bees and other pollinators.
Here at Inveresk Lodge Garden, we are delighted to provide a home for Hutch’s Honey Bees and we strive to provide a welcoming environment for them by planting pollinator friendly plants and by leaving sections of our gardens wild.

Lots of fabulous things to see in the garden at the moment. Why not check out the many different varieties of daffodils that are currently blooming?. Our camelias are also looking amazing ,along with the quince, and the prunus hedge in the white border.
While you are here, also keep a look out for our varied wildlife. If you are lucky, you might spot our local deer, a nut hatch, or even a gold crest.

It’s lovely to see all the new growth appearing in the garden. Even on a grey day, there is always something to raise the spirits when you visit, whether it is the gorgeous clumps of snowdrops or the fabulous perfume from the Lonicera Fragrantissima filling the air.
