Our team have been busy training up some new volunteers across the country! We’ve also recently welcomed this group of awesome volunteers across Forth Valley, Lothians & Borders🤩
What a pleasure it’s been over the past couple of weeks and I’m sure you’ll all help us welcome them to their respective teams!
Congratulations to you all and welcome on board! 💚👏🏼
Special thanks to our volunteers Craig, Sandy, Allwin & Rab for supporting us throughout the course. Your help was greatly appreciated and it’s always so valuable to have input from existing volunteers, sharing knowledge and skills. You were all amazing🫶🏼

Welcome to one of our latest groups of Community Cardiac Responders! Fantastic effort from these lovely people from Glenborrodale, who will now support their local community whenever they’re needed. Well done to everyone on completing your training, and welcome to the Scottish Ambulance Service 😊

Huge thank you to all of our volunteer Community Cardiac Responders and Community First Responders who continue to serve their local communities by attending emergencies 👏🏼
That’s 856 patients who have been attended by one of our volunteers, and in most cases are first on scene, where they can administer life-saving interventions ahead of the arrival of an Ambulance.
What these numbers don’t show, is the huge amount of hours put into training and community support through CPR/AED awareness, as well as those who are guardians for the local Public Access Defibrillator (PAD).
Thank you to each and every one of you 🫶🏼💚
SAS Wildcat Cardiac Responders
In May, we received over 65,000 emergency calls.
We treated over half of these without taking patients to hospital through our clinical hub, management on scene, and alternative pathways.
Great work from our staff across Scotland 💚
