Important information for anyone travelling to Scotland.
When getting currency before travelling to Scotland , please ensure that you are given PLASTIC notes not paper ones, many of our guest have been given old English or Scottish money in their home country and some places will no longer accept it.
We are finding this a lot with guests travelling from North & South America. Remember, Plastic notes not Paper notes, get ones like the picture below (look for the clear windows).
If you have Old notes these can be exchanged at the bank. We are only making this point because our current customer had paper £20 & £50 notes refused twice in establishments last week (even though they are still legal tender until September).
Better safe than sorry 😊.
