So our first 3 days of reopening are done and dusted and what is there to say…

Other than a big massive thank you! The turn out and support has been amazing.

I said there would be bumps in the road - in fact in a social media twist - here’s just some of the things we felt we didn’t do to great at last night-

❌ We didn’t check the loos anywhere near enough
❌ We ran out of ice 3 times
❌ We ran out of a few glasses multiple times
❌ We could have served you lovely lot a bit faster with an extra till
❌ We didn’t have our post mix quite right
❌ We struggled to get food out fast enough

All things we aren’t hiding behind! The team worked their absolute butts off last night and gave it everything to give amazing service and it was so lovely to hear from so many of you that you had a great time. We are just thankful our kitchen leader Robert is out of hospital after a little scare and he’ll be back with us tomorrow ❤️

We’ve said from day 1, we will make mistakes, but we will go into today’s service aiming to be better than we were yesterday, and we will do that every single day 🙌💪!

🎅🎅 ANNOUNCEMENT FROM SANTA 🎅🎅

Dear Villagers of Kirkliston,

I am pleased to say that I will be making a visit to the village of Kirkliston on 24th December again this year. Kirkliston is my favourite village in the whole world, but dont tell anyone i said that.

I will be starting my tour at 3.30pm and you can wave to me as I pass by on the road. My elves have drawn a map (and checked it twice) for details of my route and approximate timings.

To make my visit safe and successful, I need some help from you. The more help, the more successful my visit to your beautiful village will be. Have you helped before? Could you bring some cheer this Christmas Eve for all? Here is what i need:

1. **Sleigh Stewards** I need willing volunteers to walk with my sleigh to keep it safe on the road as I wave to all the children. If you are able to help between 3.30pm and 6.30pm, for some or all of the time, please email my elf helpers via [email protected] with your name and mobile number.

2. **Bollard stewards** I need 3 people to be prepared to unlock and move bollards at various points around the route ahead of the sleigh’s arrival. My elves have the keys to the bollards (ssshh, dont tell the local councillors). I just need the helpers!

Most importantly, I need everyone to turn out with bells to welcome me on Christmas Eve as I tour the village before I fly off around the world. I am very excited to see you all. Not long now!
