there's so much sentiments beneath the surface of each whispered sigh. but i couldn't seem to find the right words to express them. and it's honestly frustrating how i have so many thoughts but only few things to say. i miss writing. aside from thinking in silence—which i'm very good at, writing was the only thing i am passionate about. but now, it just feels empty. i mean, who would want a blank book? it's useless. it's like i am nothing without my words.

hi! remember when you were complimented by your elementary teacher for being smart and talented? and when they said that you were a gifted child who was way more mature than your age? remember when you believed them and started to focus and take things seriously just to prove to everyone that you were indeed a gifted child? remember how you were so eager to do everything just to receive those same compliments? and remember how you slowly lost your passion as the years went by? remember when you encountered people who were way more talented and smarter than you? remember when you realized that you were not as gifted as you—and everyone else—thought you were? and remember when you cried and cried and asked yourself why you couldn't be as good as them? remember when you could no longer keep up with everyone? and remember when you finally accepted that you're just an average person who once had a passion? do you remember? or not? it's okay, i'll make you remember!

i think it's important to realize that no matter how good you are to people, it won't make them good to you. at kung minsan pa nga ay kahit wala ka namang ginagawa ay may masasabi't masasabi pa rin sila sayo. it is a tough pill to swallow, but you have to accept that you cannot please everyone, and that is completely alright. walang mali sayo, nasa pag-uugali na talaga nila yon.

those people who constantly make fun of you are not your friend.

there is a fine line between jokes and insults. jokes are supposed to be fun and harmless, not humiliating. hindi dapat ginagawang katatawanan ang kaibigan especially sa harap ng maraming tao. because what's the purpose? to make yourself look cool at the cost of your friends dignity? and ano yung ginagawan mo ng joke? yung insecurities at unfortunate situation nung tao? It shows a lack of respect and care for your friend's feelings.

if you have a friend like this and you're uncomfortable, talk to them. if ganon pa rin, cut them off. don't think twice, sila nga di nagdadalawang isip na gawin kang katatawanan.

or if ikaw naman yung ganitong friend, maybe it's time for you to have some self reflection. we get it, joker ka and pangarap mo maging comedian pero mag-isip ka ng maganda-gandang joke next time, hindi yung nakakasira ng confident ng isang tao.
