Bringing these newlyweds along with me tomorrow. The groom was bricking it! But I told him just to Lego of his nerves and enjoy their moment in the sun. X

This one was a total privilege—and another cross-border caper, all the way down to Clitheroe for my brilliant niece Abbie and my now nephew in-law, Wayne. Technically outside my jurisdiction (I’m more of a local legend than a national treasure), so the ceremony came in two parts. For the legal aspects they had a lovely registrar local to the area come and take care of all that. Then I swooped in for the fun bit: telling their story, in their own words, with a few cheeky twists also inviting family from both sides to step up and share readings that brought the room together.

From start to finish, the day was a flawless masterclass in how to throw a wedding. You could tell every detail had been lovingly plotted.

Now, the donut wall was a special experience, don’t get me wrong. But the moment that truly stole the show? Near the end of the meal, a Deliveroo guy strolls in, pizza box in hand, asking for the father of the bride. Cue confusion, mild panic, and a few guests wondering if someone had ordered a cheeky Margherita mid-toast. Then—boom—the box opens, out pops a microphone, and he starts belting Nessun Dorma like he’s auditioning for the Royal Opera House. The place went crazy

And just when we thought we’d peaked, the room erupts into a mass conga to 500 Miles— That moment set the tone for a party that absolutely delivered. Thank you for asking me to be part of your big day

               
   

I'll be parading myself at The Edinburgh Wedding Exhibition this Saturday............... I'll see you there!

For this one I got to channel my inner viking and launch a cross border raid into the wilds of Northumberland - destination : the stunning Doxfotd Barns near Alnwick. It's a venue that oozes rustic charm and romance, the perfect backdrop for a celebration that was equal parts heartfelt and joyful.

Since this glorious gathering fell outside of my official jurisdiction, today's gorgeous couple had already taken care of the legalities up in Edinburgh a few weeks ago. So, we were free to focus on the magic..... and the ceremony was brimming with it.

From the brides neice and nephew sharing their voices, to a unity candle ritual that beautifully brought both families together. Every moment was crafted with love. And let's not forget the star of the show: a very special ring bearer with four paws and a tail, ready to steal hearts and maybe a canapé or two.

It was an absolute pleasure working with this couple and bringing their vision to life in this unforgettable setting.

This was an absolute joy to do. The elopement of Britney & Roger all the way from Utah at the magical setting of the ruined Gunpowder Mill in Roslin Glen. The sun shone its spotlight directly on us for the start of the ceremony. The smell of gunpowder has been replaced by the scent of wild garlic. So thankfully the sparks flying between them caused us no concerns.

The whole experience for them was curated by the most excellent Alysa from Wildling Weddings She pulled out all the stops to give them the best experience in Scotland.

Symbolic gestures like hand fasting can be a lovely way to further express your commitment to one another. For this couple they have a lovely monento of their day. Everyone sang Caledonia during the ceremony . So including the lyric in the frame really helped to.....ahem.....tie it all together.

What a great day this was. An absolute privilege to marry these two. I've known the groom since Primary 1 and the bride 20 odd years. After the longest courtship known to man it was about time.
