One of our colleagues in Orkney has been out adventuring on the bike they purchased through our Cycle to Work scheme – and got these great shots of a wee puffin pal they made while exploring Westray! 🐧🧡

Some of our team recently did an 80-kilometre cycle from Stirling Castle to Edinburgh Castle – no mean feat! 👏

Some of our team substituted their regular workwear and got kitted out in their footie finest to show cancer the red card, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. ⚽️

This is Megan, who recently completed work experience at Warmworks through our employment and training initiative, Warmstart. 🙌

Megan spent two days in our Edinburgh office, working with the Projects and Workplace Sustainability teams, and getting to know different kinds of jobs available in the sector.

We asked Megan what she thought about her time with us: “It was great to see the variety of options and see that things I might not have expected were really interesting.

“It was good to get an idea of the environment and culture of working in an office. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to work in an office before this, but now I think I would actually like it.”

Volunteers’ Week is a chance to recognise and celebrate the vital role volunteers play in communities across the UK. We're passionate about supporting the communities where we work and live – and that extends to our network of sub-contractors. 🧡

Valley Group recently supported the Keenagers, a community group for over-50s based in Glasgow’s East End, by helping to help refresh their meeting space. The team redecorated the hall and provided new tables and chairs, creating a more comfortable and welcoming environment for their weekly gatherings. 👏

We’ll be taking part in the Business Fives Edinburgh Event at Powerleague Portobello this afternoon, in aid of our charity of choice, Macmillan Cancer Support. 🧡

As an electrical apprentice with Omega Energy Services, Nathan is gaining hands-on experience across Scotland, helping install low-carbon heating systems in people’s homes while developing the practical skills, confidence and responsibility that come with the role.

From learning on-site to supporting customers during installations, Nathan’s apprenticeship shows how much impact early-career opportunities can have, both for individuals and the communities they work in. 🧡

We recently partnered with West Lothian College (Official) and Sureserve Energy Services UK to help tackle skills shortages in the industries needed to support Scotland’s transition to net zero. ♻️

At a time when the number of new apprenticeships, particularly in trades like insulation, is low, the partnership aims to create a more coordinated approach to developing employment pathways linked to Scotland’s decarbonisation ambitions. 👏
