Celebrating Our Amazing Volunteers
At PYCP we are incredibly fortunate to have volunteers from all walks of life who give their time, energy and passion to support our work across the community.
Whether it’s helping in our community garden, taking part in corporate team challenges, contributing at Board level as Trustees, or supporting our staff across our clubs and groups, every single volunteer plays a vital role in what we do.
We want to say a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you. Your commitment makes a real difference to the lives of children, young people and families in our community.
A special mention goes to Maria, our longest-serving volunteer, who never misses a chance to lend a hand at our PY Summer Picnics – your dedication and warmth are truly appreciated! 🌞
We couldn’t do it without you all. Thank you for being part of the PYCP family.

☀️ Hello June… and welcome back Chat & Chill Café! ☕
As we kick off a new month, we’re delighted to welcome everyone from our local community back to our Chat & Chill Café for three relaxed get-togethers this June:
📅 Thursday 4th June
📅 Thursday 11th June
📅 Thursday 18th June
🕛 12:00 – 1:30pm
Come along, grab some free lunch, enjoy a cuppa and have a good old catch-up with neighbours or even meet some new friends! 😊
You don't have to have children coming to PYCP.
Whether you fancy a chat, a laugh, or just a warm, welcoming space, you’ll find it here. Everyone is welcome! 💜
A wee note for families:
We don’t have a crèche available so children under 5 are very welcome but must be supervised by a parent or carer at all times.
We’d love to see you there ☕✨
Please share with family and friends.

Hi everyone,
We wanted to share a quick update about our upcoming sponsored walk planned for 30th May.
Unfortunately we’ve had to make the difficult decision to postpone the event until August.
This is due to a couple of challenges we’ve faced recently. Our minibus has been badly vandalised and is currently out of action for the foreseeable future which has significantly impacted our plans. On top of that, we haven’t yet managed to raise enough funds to make the event as worthwhile as we’d hoped.
We’re really disappointed to delay, but we hope you understand that this is the right decision for now.
For those who have already kindly sponsored us, thank you so much for your support — it truly means a lot. If you have any questions about what this change means please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
We’re still very much looking forward to completing the walk in August and continuing our fundraising efforts. 💙
Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support.
PYCP Team x

I dont want to jinx it for next year but it seems that every year the skies are kind to us and the sun shines.

We can't wait to see everyone at the Community Fest this Saturday!!!!
We'll be there with our classic PY glitter tats and some of our Pop Up Shop goodies 😎
North Edinburgh Community Festival is back on Saturday 16 May, taking over West Pilton Park for a full day of music, food, activities, sports, arts and crafts and proper community spirit.
Expect live performances, family fun, local groups showcasing what they do best, and plenty of free things to get stuck into. It’s a celebration made by the community, for the community, and everyone’s invited to come along, get involved and make the park buzz.
The festival parade will set off from North Edinburgh Arts at 1030am and wind its way to West Pilton Park arriving for 12noon. It'll be led in vibrant style by local groups, organisations, schools and performers - a wonderful colourful collaboration with Edinburgh Carnival.
Expect colour, music and a proper burst of energy as the community walks, dances and drums its way into the heart of the festival.
Save the date and bring your pals.
The festival is free to attend, 12noon to 530pm.
If you would like to be involved in the parade or the festival, please contact [email protected]
