We absolutely love seeing what our Care Professionals and Clients achieve together!

Ebony has been helping her client reconnect with a passion that's brought him so much joy - building and running model trains 🚂

With a little encouragement, patience and support, he's been able to rediscover a hobby he loves. It's wonderful to see his hard work come to life.

Moments like these remind us that care is about so much more than helping with day-to-day tasks - it's about supporting people to continue doing the things that make them smile.

A huge well done to Ebony for making such a meaningful difference 💚

Hot weather can affect older adults more quickly, so a little extra care can make a big difference this summer. ☀️

Staying hydrated, keeping cool indoors, and checking in regularly can help loved ones stay safe, comfortable, and well during warmer days.

Pain and dementia often go unnoticed, but it's important to remember that people living with dementia can experience discomfort just like anyone else 👇

Some of our best part-time Care Professionals came to the job after a long career in something else. Teachers, nurses, parents, people who'd run their own business for thirty years.

Life experience is highly valued by us and our clients. Knowing how to listen, how to stay calm, how to read a room. The rest can be taught.

We're hiring in Edinburgh East and the surrounding area. Call our local team to chat with our Recruiter! 0131 300 0599 or homeinstead.co.uk/edinburgh.

Being handed a leaflet is simply not enough after a dementia diagnosis.

A stark new report from the CEO of the Alzheimer's Society Michelle Dyson CB highlights a heartbreaking reality: dementia patients are too often left without a roadmap, leaving families to figure out the next steps entirely on their own.

With more people being diagnosed with dementia, we can, and must, do better. Dementia needs to be met with comprehensive, personalised support and not just a piece of paper.

If your family is facing a new diagnosis, you don't have to navigate this alone. We’re here to help you make sense of this emotional time, point you to the right resources, and provide the dedicated care your loved one deserves.
