Last Wednesday we had our launch event (and feast!) for the Our Right To Food: Pakistani Households report.

We heard from the community advisors about some of the main findings around:

Fitting a “desi” diet onto the Eatwell Plate
Flying in culturally important fruits (mangoes!)
Finding good (organic?) halal meat
- and most importantly, just how important food is for this Pakistani household.

We enjoyed a meal cooked with love - inspired by the weekly shopping basket from the report. Thanks

We can't understand the right to food without understanding what culturally valued diets look like in Scotland. For the past year, we have been working with Pakistani households in Glasgow to address and monitor the right to food for this major food culture.

Today we're pleased to share with you 'Our Right to Food: Pakistani households in Scotland' report.

This work is a follow-up to the Our Right to Food report published in 2022 which sets out an approach for understanding and monitoring the right to food in practice. Happy reading!
