The Summer Reading Challenge has started!! So far we have ten sign-ups just on the first day! Each young person that signs up with get a music note to put their name on our children's mural to stay up for the entire summer. 🎵🎶

The Summer Reading Challenge is for ages 4-11, but young and older can participate. Keep an eye on our social media for extra events we will be holding over the summertime. 😎

To celebrate the start of the Summer Reading Challenge and Make Music Day, we will be hosting a Music Makers Event! This will be on Monday, 22nd of June from 4pm-5pm! 🥁🎶

Young people will be able to try all different kinds of percussion instruments and play some musical games! Spaces are limited so please book ahead!

Polish Bookbug is back this week for one last session before we break for the Summer!
Come along this Friday for Polish songs, games, and rhymes - dont miss the fun! 😄

Our next Family Movie Night is coming up!! We will be watching five different animals enter a singing competition! 🎞️🎥🎤

This will be helping kick of our Summer Reading Challenge by celebrating the theme 'Read to the Beat'! 🎵🎶

It will be on the 1st of July at 5pm! Snacks and juice will be provided!

The theme inspires children to connect their enjoyment of reading and music, focusing on how both ignite creativity and imagination.

Join the challenge, read at least six books over the summer, and receive a certificate and medal for your efforts! Continue enjoying to read or get into reading for pleasure for the first time this summer. Look out for lots of new and exciting books coming to Moredun Library!

The challenge is completely FREE.

Due to popular demand, Polish Bookbug will continue to run this summer - we are excited to keep singing and rhyming with you all!

To celebrate the beginning of summer, our next session (19th June) will be a special teddy bear's picnic. You're welcome to bring a cuddly friend (they don't have to be a bear!) and your favourite snack. Refreshments will be provided. 🍎🍓🐻
