**CURRIE LIBRARY TEMPORARY CLOSURE**
WED 6th May 5pm & THURSDAY 7th May 10-5pm
To support the Scottish Parliament Elections, Currie Library will be used as a polling station on Thursday 7th May 2026 and will be closed to all library services.
It is also necessary to close the library from 5pm on Wednesday 6th May to support the set up of the polling station.
The library will reopen as normal on Friday 8th May 2026.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause during this time. Your nearest library during closure will be:

This Sunday is International Women's Day and the day after, in Colinton Library, we will have the pleasure to host Catherine Awoyode presentation of the book "Alora: The Prophecy". Catherine is only 13 and already published her book! She will tell us about it and you will be able to ask!

**TRUE CRIME AUTHOR TALK** Join us at Currie library for a free author talk on Wed 11th March at 6pm.
The World's End Murders The Inside Story. A fascinating insight by author and former Deputy Chief Constable of Lothian and Borders Police Tom Wood. As Director of Operations Tom will explain about his investigation in solving the famous World's End Murders. There will be an opportunity to meet the author and we will also host a Q and A followed by book signing. Not to be missed.

Catherine Awoyode is an avid reader and good costumer of our libraries, who has recently published her first novel "Alora, the Prophecy" at just 13 years of age. We will have the pleasure of hosting her presentation in Colinton Library on the 9th March, for International Women's Day (week), where she will tell us about how she wrote it and published it. We are so proud of you, Catherine!

BOOKBUG AT BALERNO LIBRARY
Did you know we have fun Bookbug sessions for preschool children every Wednesday afternoon from 3.30 till 4.00 pm at the library? If you have a child/children aged 0-4, why not book a space for next week’s Bookbug?
