On International Women’s Day, we stood together with Million Women Rise, a powerful movement led by Black and Global Majority Women for all Women and Girls.

During the 16 Days of Activism, we at Shakti wanted to highlight the inequalities such as immigration status, language difficulties, and race based discrimination that have all been identified as additional barriers for BME survivors to exit violent relationships We at Shakti are dedicated in fighting against gender violence and preventing the socio economic barriers that women can face when reporting domestic abuse.
