The World Society of Cardio-Vascular & Thoracic Surgeons is an international organisation of cardiac and thoracic surgeons from all over the globe.

The World Society of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons was established in 1990, and the inaugural Meeting was held in Chiang Mai (Thailand) in 1991. The founding Chancellor was the late Juro Wada of Japan, and Honorary Founding Members Christian Cabrol (France), Denton Cooley (USA), Charles Hahn (Switzerland), and Norman Shumway (USA). πŸ“ŒπŸ“ŒπŸ“Œ 30th Annual Meeting of The World Society of Cardio-Vascular & Thoracic Surgeons

This year’s annual meeting of the WSCTS was scheduled to take place in St. Petersburg, Russia, from September 17 to 20, 2020, under chairmanship of Piotr Yablonski.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemics, the Council of the WSCTS and organizers of the St. Petersburg meeting have decided to postpone the meeting for one year.
The 2021 meeting of the WSCTS will take place in St. Petersburg from September 16 to September 19, 2021, again under chairmanship of Piotr Yablonski. Further information about the meeting and submission of abstracts will be given in due time.
