Hon Consul of Bosnia-Herzegovina in Scotland

During my recent visit to Sarajevo, I had the pleasure of contributing as a keynote speaker to the Women on Boards in the Financial Sector programme, delivered by EBRD in partnership with the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It was a truly engaging exchange with a group of accomplished women from across the financial sector, focused on boardroom dynamics, leadership presence, and the realities of decision-making at board level.
Many thanks to EBRD and the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the invitation and for driving such an important initiative to strengthen governance and board effectiveness in the region.

A special thank you to Stela Melnic, Jasmina Selimovic, and Sabina Softic for the excellent organisation and warm welcome – it was a pleasure to connect and exchange perspectives.

Fantastic in Sarajevo. Many thanks to The Caledonian Society of Bosnia for organising it and British Embassy Sarajevo for supporting it. The team from Scotland arrived with lots of enthusiasm (if not necessarily the best dancing and singing skills!) as well as 23 ‘haggi’ - and left with huge smiles on our faces.
The lights of Sarajevo at night were as magical as ever.

Last night was very special. The Consular Corps in Scotland, which is now the largest Consular Corps in the UK, had its Annual Dinner at the beautiful Playfair Library. A food-for-thought speech by Dex Hunter-Torricke and very entertaining after dinner storytelling by Donald Smith, on an evening filled with goodwill, good conversations and a plenty of laughter. So many people worked hard on making the event happen, in particular my wonderful consular colleagues Christiane Hullmann, Christoph Crepaz, Mary Vowles Duncan and Lorna Jack.

My special thanks must go to the ladies at the Bosnia-Herzegovina table, of course - for all their warmth, wit, humour, ideas, inspiration.
