Over the last week, our volunteers have been out supporting Balerno Children's Gala once again.
It’s been another great year working alongside the committee who put so much effort into organising such a fantastic week of activities for the community.
We’ve proudly supported the gala for the last 4 years, and it was great to be back again for 2026.
See you again next year 🚑

For 40 years, the Corstorphine Fair has brought our community together in celebration, tradition, and local spirit. Run entirely by volunteers, the Fair has become Edinburgh’s largest community-run event, welcoming thousands of visitors and supporting local charities, community groups, performers, and small businesses.
But behind the music, parades, stalls, and family fun is a huge amount of unseen work — and rising costs.
To safely deliver the Fair in 2026, we must fund essential infrastructure including:
Event staging and marquees
Public liability insurance
Security and stewarding
First aid provision
Road closures and traffic management
Council licensing and permits
Electricity, sound systems, and technical support
Toilets, waste management, and site safety measures
The cost of running the Fair now exceeds £30,000, with all funding raised independently through sponsorship, donations, fundraising activities, and community support.
Like many volunteer-led community events, we face increasing financial pressure and limited access to mainstream funding. While grants are sometimes available, competition is intense and funding rarely covers the full cost of delivering a large-scale public event.
Without community support, events like the Corstorphine Fair become increasingly difficult to sustain.
Your donation will help us:
Keep the Fair free and accessible for everyone
Support local charities and community groups
Preserve an important Corstorphine tradition
Create a safe, welcoming event for thousands of visitors
Ensure future generations can continue to enjoy this unique community celebration
Every contribution — large or small — makes a real difference.
Together, we can keep the tradition alive.
Thank you for supporting Corstorphine Fair 2026.

We’re delighted to announce that we will once again be providing comprehensive first aid and medical cover for Corstorphine Fair on the 6th of June.
This year marks the 20th Corstorphine Fair since it began in 1986. As Edinburgh’s biggest community event, the fair attracts thousands upon thousands of people each year.
The event brings huge numbers of people into Corstorphine from across the local community, surrounding areas, and beyond Edinburgh, meaning the area is expected to be especially busy throughout the day.
We have proudly provided cover for the fair since 2018, and with this being such a special year, we’re working closely with the committee and our event partners to help keep the public safe.
Keep an eye on our social media for more updates soon.

As you may have seen, our volunteers recently delivered a lifesaving skills session for a local tennis club, and we wanted to share some of the great feedback we received 📣
Skills like CPR, how to use an AED, and how to stop severe bleeding are vital skills that everyone should know 🩸
We’re committed to delivering more of these sessions and helping teach these lifesaving skills to all ages ❤️

It’s been another busy weekend for our volunteers.
Over the weekend, our team provided medical cover at a private rave into the early hours of the morning, as well as first aid cover for scottishroadrunners car show at Conifox Adventure Park, where an incredible £10,000 was raised for charity.
As we continue to grow as an organisation, we’re supporting more events every year while also delivering training for community groups and businesses.
This weekend offers a short breather before we hit the ground running again as events ramp up. Our dedicated team will be covering everything from sporting events, fairs and galas, to festivals and much more, so keep an eye out for us 🚑
