Thank you to our colleagues at SKIPS Educational for this handy guide to support parents.
They have created a one-page guide “When Something Goes Wrong Online – A Simple Action Plan for Parents.”
It is designed to help parents respond confidently if their child experiences something upsetting online, offering clear guidance on how to talk to their child about what has happened and how to report concerns through the appropriate channels.

❤ A heartfelt celebration of Moray’s foster carers.
Moray’s foster carers were honoured at a special civic reception this week – celebrating the compassion, stability and love they bring to children and young people across our communities.
Opening the ceremony, Councillor John Cowe, Moray Council Civic Leader, offered heartfelt thanks on behalf of corporate parents and the wider community.
“Today is a very special occasion – an opportunity to recognise, celebrate, and most importantly, to thank you, Moray’s foster carers, for the incredible difference you make in the lives of children and young people across our communities.
"You provide love, stability, and the chance for children to simply be children. You offer that sense of belonging and support that helps young people to thrive. You change lives.”
Their stories moved everyone in the room – and reminded us what a difference a safe, stable, caring home can make.

🥳 Celebrating connections in care ❤️
Moray has launched the Maintaining Relationships project, a pioneering initiative co-designed by care-experienced young people to make sure the people who matter most – like social workers, teachers, residential staff and others – can stay connected even after formal care ends.
The project, sparked by young people sharing their experiences of feeling "abandoned" and “forgotten,” provides guidance for staff members to maintain meaningful, safe, and lasting relationships – keeping the young person’s wishes at the heart of every decision.
Launched at UHI Moray College ahead of Care Leavers Month, this initiative celebrates care leavers, and strengthens continuing connections.
👏 Moray is leading the way in this work, and the project is already attracting national interest.
