✏️🌈 P1 Play dates at Toy Toon 🌈🖍️

🏫 Calling all grown ups who have a wee one starting primary 1 this August ... this post is for you!

♥️ We have had LOTS of interest in running sessions for those nursery leavers to meet up for a play at Toy Toon with their new playground pals. So here are the details...

🛝 A 90 minute play, in a safe clean environment with ample opportunity to relax whilst meeting your new cohort & families!

📚 Exciting role play areas to explore with your grown ups whilst meeting and making new friends!

🍎 A full diverse, café menu with particular care and attention made for allergies and dietary preferences! Home bakes galore and a banging coffee menu to keep all you grown ups more than happy whilst you're here!

⏰ These special play sessions will be planned around demand and will run on Friday afternoons in our 3:30pm session

🚸 If you'd like to join us-

* Pop us a wee message or email to let us know which Primary School waiting list you'd like to be added to
* How many P1's and grown ups you'd like to come along
* Once we have our lists composed we shall be in touch with dates and a code to allow you to book your very first P1 play date!

📱 So give your pals a tag, message your parent pal group chats and get in touch if you'd like to come along!

🌈 We both have little ones starting school this year (how on earth have they got so big so quickly!)- we would have loved something like this when our older children were stepping up to school!

📒 We're very excited for them to start their next adventures and can't wait to start a new summer time tradition at Toy Toon with P1 play dates!

☀️🌈 Offftt what is that yellow ball in the sky!? 🌈☀️

💛 What a gorgeous couple of days of sun we've been treated to this week!

🧊 We have been working hard to get the shop all ready for these sunnier days so you lovely lot have a safe, clean and most importantly cool space to explore out of the sun!

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 As parents ourselves we are well versed in knowing when it's time for us grown ups to grab a well deserved rest, but knowing that the wee ones still need some time to busy themselves- we have got you covered!

☕️ Iced coffee, frappes, thick shakes- you name it, we have it.

💨 Air conditioning- absolutely!

🧠 Imaginative toys that change every 6-8 weeks to keep your wee ones engaged and exploring, all whilst learning through play!

🔐 A secure, safe space where you can be close enough to keep an eye on your wee ones but give them enough space to roam independently, meeting new pals along the way and gaining some of those all important socialising skills within arms reach. It's the best feeling getting to watch your children grow in confidence each time they visit.

🌈 So whilst these warmer days are upon us...keep in mind we're here! For those cooler play dates which are both as important for the wee ones as they are their grown ups!

🤍🌈 New toys for May 🌈🤍

🙌 The Toy Toon Loon (self named) or Mr TT as we shall call him today has survived his first toy change! Hooray, I think we'll keep him!

👨‍🔧 A good bit of maintenance has been caught up on, a huge tidy up and clean has been the order of the day followed by a complete change around of the toon. A HUGE thank you to the TT handy husband for all his help, he really can fix anything! Phew!

🫶 It's looking amazing if we do say so ourselves- our wee end of the High Street is definitely worth a visit.

🏡 Grant House 📺

🧳 Lido Luggage 👙
⚓️ Toytanic ⛴️
🚧 TT Construction Site 🧱

🗺️ Lots of new and new exciting areas to explore with your little people, meet up with pals, enjoy a hot cuppa and a fine piece. All with the knowledge that your wee ones are safe, sound and learning through play!

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 As you all know, we are a wee family ran business- this is why we do what we do, for our wee families and yours! With this is mind, we're taking a short break....and will be closed Saturday 15th May.

🩰 I'm off to watch two of my three girls in their dance show, and finally their dad (the TT handyman!) is home to see them too. What a good day we're going to have, I can't wait.

🥃 Chris will be getting a day to rest up from TT and his proper big job to spend time with his wee ones too- a good weekend for us all.

📰 In other news, we're going to be opening on some Wednesday mornings!! This is going to work around the TT handyman's work rota- so head over to our website, scroll down to the bottom of the front page to check out our calendar dates!! Come & keep me company whilst we try out some new opening hours.

📆 Come along and play this Friday!

We can't wait to see what you think of the new set up...
