The week beginning 26 October, we will start carrying out woodland management works at to improve biodiversity, support wildlife and create a healthier, more resilient woodland for future generations. The works should be completed in December.

We're also improving visitor access by combining two smaller car parks into one larger, upgraded facility, making it easier for visitors to enjoy the heath.

While the machinery may make the work more noticeable, these essential conservation measures will help protect and enhance the site for years to come.

From 1 April 2027, the current councils in East Surrey will be replaced by a single new council, delivering all services. If you live in Elmbridge, Epsom and Ewell, Mole Valley, Reigate and Banstead or Tandridge you will be part of East Surrey Council.

East Surrey Council want to know what matters most to local communities to help shape their delivery plan for 2027-2031. This delivery plan is part of the East Surrey Council Strategy.

The vision is for East Surrey to be an inclusive place where people are heard and supported, communities are strong, people are proud of where they live and growth is sustainable.

If you and your family use any of these local green spaces, we want to hear from you. Tell us what you enjoy, what could be improved and what would encourage your household to visit more often.

The survey takes just 5 to 10 minutes to complete and closes 24 October.

As a thank you, participants selected for a one-to-one interview will receive a £25 voucher, while those attending a workshop will receive a £40 voucher.
