🩷🩵 Baby Loss Awareness Week — 9th–15th October 🩵🩷

Once again, Exeter Sands has created a beautiful and moving ribbon display on Cricklepit Bridge, Exeter Quay, to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week. 🎀

This is the third year that Exeter Sands has brought the display to the Quay, creating a special space for families to remember and honour their precious babies.

The display will remain in place until 18th October, and anyone is welcome to add their own ribbon — whether in memory of a baby they have lost, or in support of someone they know. 🩷🩵

Baby loss can happen at any stage of pregnancy or after birth, and the ribbon display is a gentle way to remember those babies and, importantly, to start conversations about baby loss.

If you have experienced baby loss, you are not alone. 💗

For more information or support, please get in touch with Exeter Sands. 🩵🩷

🚶‍♀️♿🚲 Help map Exeter’s Good Ways to walk, wheel and cycle

A new project is inviting people across Exeter to help create an interactive map and app highlighting the city’s best local routes for walking, wheeling and cycling.

Good Ways Exeter is being developed with local people, who know which routes are quieter, easier, safer, more enjoyable or simply better for getting from A to B.

You can get involved by:

🌿 Sharing a favourite route
🚲 Checking routes shared by others
👍 Rating routes for things like ease and enjoyment
📱 Testing the Good Ways app and website
💡 Sharing ideas about what works and what could be improved

It could be a quiet cycle route, a riverside walk, an accessible route through nature, a favourite neighbourhood loop or simply a way of avoiding a busy road or awkward crossing.

The Exeter pilot is being funded by
and is currently being built and tested with local communities.
