20 years of apprenticeships at DCC! 🎉
Since 2006, we've created over 1,200 apprenticeship opportunities, grown from just 2 frameworks to 107+ standards, and currently support 278 apprentices across the organisation. We're proud that 50.4% achieve a distinction and 86% continue their career with DCC or progress to another apprenticeship.
Apprenticeships are no longer simply an entry route into employment. They provide valuable development opportunities for both new and existing employees, helping individuals build skills, gain qualifications and progress their careers while supporting the Council's future workforce needs.
As we celebrate this milestone, we would like to thank our apprentices, managers, mentors, training providers and everyone who has supported the programme's success. Their commitment and enthusiasm have helped create more than 1,200 apprenticeship opportunities over the last 20 years. Here's to the next 20 years! 💙
