📚✨ Look at all these fabulous pre-loved books that have been generously donated to help raise funds for Libraries Unlimited, the charity that runs our library.

There are lots of wonderful titles waiting to be discovered - none of the books are priced we simply ask for a donation. So come along, explore what's on offer, then take what you like and give what you like!

Can you help us share the books everyone wants to read this month? 📚

There’s high demand for our 10 most wanted titles, and many eager customers are waiting to borrow them. We’ve purchased as many copies as our budget allows, but if you’re able to help, we’d be truly grateful.

If you have a pristine copy, you’ve finished reading - whether it’s one you bought yourself or received as a gift - you can donate it at any library in Devon or Torbay. We’ll add it to our collection to help reduce the waiting list.

🚴‍♀️ Free Adult Cycle Training Sessions - Friday 30th October 🚴‍♂️

Want to feel more confident on your bike? These FREE one-hour sessions are designed for Devon residents aged 18+ and are perfect for complete beginners, those returning to cycling, or anyone looking to build confidence on everyday journeys.

✅ Small, supportive groups (1-3 people)
✅ Quiet roads and cycle paths
✅ Tailored to your experience level
✅ Free bike and helmet available to borrow

You'll learn: • How to fit and adjust your helmet correctly
• Basic bike safety checks
• How to use your gears effectively
• Safe cycling on roads and cycle paths
• How to negotiate junctions safely
• Riding confidently around traffic and in small groups

Each session is worth around £75 but is currently fully funded and available free of charge.

Places must be booked in advance.

Important: • Available to Devon residents only
• Participants must be aged 18+
• Cycle helmets are required
• Charges may apply for non-attendance or cancellations made within 24 hours

Next month we will be hosting our first Wellbeing Walk 🌲🍂🌳🍁

Take a break, get outdoors, and enjoy some gentle exercise and good company on a Wellbeing Walk.

📅 Thursday 5th November 2026
⏰ 11am start (please arrive 15 minutes early for registration)
📍 Meet at Exmouth Library

We'll be exploring the spectacular trees of Phear Park on a relaxed Grade 2 walk, lasting around 30 to 60 minutes. The walk is free, accessible, and open to everyone. Refreshments will be available at the library afterwards (donations welcome). 🍂💚

We hope by removing overdue fees, we are further reducing barriers to reading. This change is effective immediately.
