Faversham Swimming Pool

🚧 WELL, THIS IS A BIT DIFFERENT! 😂

Our indoor changing rooms are now closed while the refurbishment gets underway, and as you can see, things are looking a little different around here!

In the meantime, we’re using our outdoor changing rooms, which now come with their very own greenhouse! 🌱😂

We’re not growing tomatoes just yet, but at least we’ve got plenty of water!

On a serious note, thank you to everyone for bearing with us while the work takes place. The Pools are still open, and we’re looking forward to having our newly refurbished changing rooms ready for you! 💙

Our AGM will take place on Monday 2nd November at 6pm, at the Jubilee Room, Alexander Centre, Faversham.

With some important changes ahead for Faversham Pools, this year’s meeting will be an opportunity to hear more about our plans for the future, reflect on the past year and raise any questions you may have.

If you would like to attend, please register your interest by emailing [email protected] with ‘AGM’ in the subject line. Questions can also be submitted in advance.

Faversham Pools is entering an exciting new chapter.

Following a successful tendering process and subject to an eight-working-day pause until 16th October, Everyone Active will operate Faversham pools along with the centres at Sittingbourne and Sheppey from next April. This will be for an initial 10-year period with an option to extend for a further five years.

We believe this is the best way to secure the long-term future of swimming in Faversham, while creating opportunities for further investment in our facilities.

Importantly, the outdoor pools will be protected through a new charitable arrangement.

There is no change to our day-to-day operation for now; it’s business as usual until April 2027.

We've put together a full update, including answers to some of the questions you may have, on our website: https://www.favershampools.com/securing-the-future-of-faversham-pools/

Thank you for continuing to support Faversham Pools and for supporting us as we head into our next chapter.

🏃‍♀️ IN THE FAVERSHAM POOLS SPOTLIGHT THIS WEEK… OUR LOVELY LONDON MARATHON RUNNER, ALI! 💙

We’re really pleased to introduce one of our 2027 London Marathon runners, Ali!

What makes this one particularly special is that Ali and her family have been part of Faversham Pools for many years. The Pools have seen everything from family swimming and lessons to training, Sunset Swims and even Ollie joining our team as a lifeguard and Duty Manager.

So when Ali applied for one of our marathon places and told us she felt it was her turn to give something back, we knew just how much running for Faversham Pools would mean to her.

Now comes the small matter of training for 26.2 miles! 😅🏃‍♀️

We’ll be following Ali along the way and sharing more of her journey as we get closer to London.

If you’d like to support Ali and her fundraising for Faversham Pools, you can make a donation here:

We’re delighted to announce that, working with Swale Borough Council, our indoor changing areas are getting a much-needed refurbishment!

The project has been made possible through funding from the Government’s Pride in Place Impact Fund and will give the changing areas a fresh, modern update.

Work will take place throughout the autumn and early winter. During this time, the indoor changing area will be closed, but showers and toilets will remain available and our outdoor changing facilities will be used instead.

There will of course be some disruption while the work takes place, but we’re really looking forward to seeing the finished result and another investment being made in the future of Faversham Pools. 💙

We’ll keep everyone updated as the work progresses.

And that’s another summer season finished at Faversham Pools! ☀️💦

As always, we rounded it off with our traditional staff party and a chance for the team to enjoy the Pools themselves for a change! 😆

A huge thank you to all of our staff who have worked through another busy summer. From welcoming everyone through the doors and the never-ending cleaning, to teaching in the water and keeping everyone safe, there’s a lot that goes into every day at the Pools.

Our receptionists, cleaners, instructors and lifeguards all play a part in making Faversham Pools what it is, right here at the heart of our community. 💙

And thank you to all of you who have visited and supported us throughout the summer too. We hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have!

The outdoor pool and rapids will be open for everyone across both sessions.
