Brogdale Collections - Charity Brogdale Collections - the home of the National Fruit Collection, with over 3500 varieties of fruit! Cherries, plums, apples, pears, quince and medlars.

Brogdale Collections is a charity based at Brogdale to provide an open door to The National Fruit Collection through Festivals, Events, Tours, Courses and Educational Days. The National Fruit Collection boasts over 4,000 Heritage Fruit Varieties including Apples, Pears, Plums, Cherries, Cobnuts and Soft Fruits.

We still have a few places available on our course this Friday, so if you’ve ever fancied having a go at making your own c***r, now’s your chance! Pick and press apples, learn how to ferment the juice at home, and take home up to 10 litres of freshly pressed apple juice.

Join us for the final weekends of PYO! There are still lots of delicious heritage varieties to be picked.
📅 Dates: 24, 25, 31 October & 1 November
⏰ Time: 10am–4pm (Last entry 3pm)
🌳 £10 per adult entry, including a guided tour of the National Fruit Collection at 11.30am or 2pm. Pay at the shop.
🍏 Only £5 for the fruit you pick!
🛍️ Don’t forget to bring your own bag!
Bring your friends and family, enjoy the orchards and take home some delicious heritage apples.

Due to the hot summer the fruit season is unfortunately finishing a bit earlier this year. We have 2 more PYO weekends for the last of the apples and pears! Come and join us and have a guided tour. Tickets are available on the day from the Tiddly Pomme shop.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the weekend and voted for their favourite apple at this year’s Apple Fair.🍎
THE WINNER IS… Ananas Reinette! 🏆

🥇 Ananas Reinette – This delicious variety praised for it size, crisp, juicy flesh and distinctive, perfumed pineapple flavour. 🍍
🥈 Cornish Aromatic – a classic English apple first recorded in Cornwall in 1813. It’s loved for its crisp texture and rich, aromatic flavour. 🌿
🥉 Pitmaston Pineapple – a charming heritage variety dating back to the late 18th century. Small and golden, this characterful apple is prized for its rich, sweet, honeyed flavour and fragrance. 🍯
🍎🍏🍎Three fantastic varieties, each with its own unique character and flavour! A wonderful reminder of the incredible diversity of apples growing in our orchards.
