Below is from today's news. The advice from the chairman of the national preparedness commission was to not just rely on cards/phone payments but have some cash. If you need to top up your cash reserve you can withdraw money from your bank via the Post Office. A quick reminder to bring your bank debit card as unlikely your phone will fit into our card machine :-)

I am pleased to advise that we can now again accept pay in of cheques into Bank of Scotland, Lloyds & Halifax accounts. This compliments our existing service for many other banks including TSB, RBS/NatWest, Barclays, HSBC, Co-op and, not forgetting, Coutts private bankers to the Royal family!
